Jan and I were born 5 days apart and were brought up sharing a pram by Jan’s mum, my auntie Kath.  We spent our school holidays together ice skating, playing at the local rec and visiting the cinema and London’s museums with her dad, my knowledgeable uncle Harry.  As teenagers we went to the towns discos, which were something else in the 60’s. Work and then children came along and life moved us to oposite sides of the country but we always kept in touch. Like sisters we always picked up where we left off.  I was so glad she found her soul mate in Geoff.  They made an amazing couple.  I will miss her so much but will forever cherish the memories we shared.
